Bernie Mac Dead at 50
One of the Kings of Comedy, Bernie Mac, born Bernard Jeffery McCullough, has died after being hospitalized with pneumonia in Chicago Hospital. This sad and shocking news was released from his publicist, Danica Smith.
Mr. Mac also had an condition called sarcoidosis which is a chronic disease that can inflame tissue in the lungs. The sarcoidosis had been in remission since 2005. It was only a few days ago that it was released that he was responding to treatment after rumors that he had passed away. Unfortuately this time its not a rumor, as he took a turn from the worse.
Many may know Bernie from the "House Party 3" movie, "the Original Kings of Comedy" and the "Bernie Mac show." Bernie's is a rags to riches story, as he made it from the streets of Chicago to Hollywood. He was also a welcomed guest for the David Letterman and Jay Leno night time shows.
Danica Smith said that no other details, as funeral arrangements, etc. are available at this moment and asked that his family's privacy be respected.
